The History of Karni Mata Temple

Dedicated to Goddess Karni Mata, revered as an incarnation of Durga, this temple was built to honor the deity’s protective and motherly presence over Udaipur. While the temple itself is modest, its spiritual significance is deeply felt by locals who come here to seek blessings for health, prosperity, and protection.

Karni Mata is also associated with the famed Karni Mata Temple of Deshnok (near Bikaner), known for its sacred rats. Unlike Deshnok, the Udaipur shrine is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.
